Good Boy(s)!

This was a first...I've never taken a family portrait with two children like this. Funny thing is I don't think it was that different from any other children (except maybe the part where we left them in the SUV for an extended time while we took more pictures). Don't worry - the windows were down! Little Benjamin and Jackson did their best. This is one of my favorites (I obviously like these trees)! More to come....

Jackson's Sneak Peak

I love fall, esecially the changing of the trees. I had fun taking pictures of my friends and their two handsome boys last week. The little guy did eventually smile and show out for us. These are his more serious (when is the next motorcycle coming down the Trace?) expressions. This makes me want to dress my girls up and head outside for more pictures!

Party Princess

Our sweet friend Ashlynn will celebrate her 2nd birthday this week. She had a great party on Saturday at her house. The girls had a blast (as usual)! Thanks for inviting us and being such great friends.

Wallace Sneak Peek

Here's a look at my favorite nephew on his first beach photo shoot. Not too bad...there weren't even any tears! I'll try to get more loaded in an album later today.

Sweet Sisters

Yes, they are sweet sisters...but I can't say that they liked having their picture made together. For some reason my two independent girls had their own agendas! I do like this picture though.

Beach Beauties

Here's a sneak peak at the girls on our recent trip to the beach. Although Tropical Storm Fay brought it to an early end, we really enjoyed the time we had. We had lots of sun and a good breeze for the first day and a half. The girls enjoyed the beach...I'll try to get more of our adventures and photo sessions up soon.

Fresh as a daisy

I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would put up a quick picture of Caroline after her first "official" haircut (which was really just the front). She wasn't excited about sitting in the big chair or being still. Also, note to self (and anyone else who hasn't thought of this), lollipops are not a good bribe while the haircut is in progress. :)
I hope to post more next week of the girls at the beach. I hope Tropical Storm Faye makes a pretty backdrop :)

Setting Time for the Sun

It's been a long time since I made an "appointment" to watch the sunset....I'd like to thank my brother for setting this one up. This should be a daily ritual. It reminded me how awesome God is. I often miss the beauty of his creation, rushing on to the next task. Thank you, Lord, for continuing to love us and amaze us everyday with your great works of art.
"And God said, 'Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness he called night.' And there was evening, and there was morning -- the first day." Gen. 1:3-5

Ol' Blue Eyes

My nephew finally made it to our house for a visit! We took advantage of his "morning person" personality and got some candids of him "talking" and smiling. I thought they were cute, even if he is still in his PJs! (I'm a very proud aunt, if you didn't notice :)

Little Angel

I couldn't resist this one! It was just too sweet.

Magical Puffs

Thank goodness for Gerber's magical puffs. Who knew they could keep a one-year-old mostly happy in 90+ degree weather and humidity?!? Miss Hannah survived her photo shoot without melting or having any major meltdowns. She's definitely a moving target now! Love the curls!

Cool Effects

I've been learning a few new things about editing this week...It's amazing what you can do! I have to make myself get up from the computer (after all the 10 loads of laundry won't wash themselves!) I really liked how this one of Davis turned out.

Three's Company

Very good company in this case! Camille is a super big sister and set a very good example for Jack and Katie throughout the session. It's hard to imagine a cuter set of kids.

Jack Attack!

"Where's my super suit?" That was the question of the day. Not only did the incredible Jack Jack need a super suit; we needed one to keep up with him! But who could resist that smile....

Little Bird

I don't know what's cuter...her cheeks or her bright smile! I love getting to see my favorite Florida friends. Miss Katie has grown so much over the last three months. She seemed to tolerate the heat and humidity better than the rest of us and she certainly enjoyed the show her daddy put on for her. Her big sister and brother didn't do too bad either, but then they've done this a few times before. :)

Two Little Monkeys...

... jumping everywhere! What a beautiful day to follow two sweet monkeys (I mean, brothers) around. We looked at bugs, leaves, holes, big sticks and a few big trucks. We got to climb all around the cool trees and in one of them. We even took some pictures! It was a fun adventure.

The Fireman

Here's a picture of my friend Caleb at his fourth birthday. It was great fun to watch his sweet face with all the firetrucks. I even got to slide down the pole!

Suddenly...Last Summer

It's hard to believe that it's been a year since I took these pictures of my favorite Florida friends. I can't wait to see them again!

"It's that time of year..."

When taking pictures is lots of fun because everything is fresh -- green and blooming -- but not too hot...YET! This has been a busy week with lots of my favorite little friends to photograph. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing their precious expressions, which reminds me just how fast mine are growing as well.
Happy Mother's Day to the special moms in my life!

"In the meadow"

Well, I had to twist her arm, but I got Anna in her Easter dress and to the meadow for pictures. Caroline was only a little reluctant to put on her fancy dress. I guess I should have scrubbed the Doritos off Anna's face a little harder! Caroline also has a big bruise on her forehead from a climbing incident yesterday; however, I was pleased with the results (considering the spur of the moment decision to do it at all). I'm not sure what kind of "flowers/weeds" are growing in our meadow, but they are certainly beautiful this week.

"Peter, Peter..."

What fun I had following my little friend around his grandparents' yard! This boy is on the move. I think he likes a challenge...let's see if the lady with the camera can keep up with me. :)
My favorite thing about Peter's pictures is they are very natural. All boy -- silly, adventurous, sometimes serious! I especially love the evidence of the chocolate cake, that he and Anna had just inhaled, left on his sleeve.

One, Two...

Well, this new experiment is lots of fun! I wanted to start on Katie's photos but I didn't get very far.... This is one of my favorites so I thought I would share it. I will do more next week. I enjoyed our chat today. Our little bird is beautiful!

Baby Steps

I know how Caroline feels lately as she is learning to stand by herself and so close to taking her first steps. This is a baby step....
