You've Got "Photo" Mail!

Everyone likes getting mail. You know the drill. You're going about your daily routine. You hear the familiar sound of the "mail truck," slowing to an almost stop, pausing, revving up again and on to the next stop. I love this time of year when the brightly-colored envelopes of Christmas cards hopefully outweigh the bills. And for someone like me, photo cards are the best! I love seeing all the faces of friends and family, following their growing families and posting them in my card organizer.

That brings me to the point of this post -- to tell you how much I enjoy using Shutterfly to create our family's cards. In fact, I have created a couple of cards for this year: one flat and one folded (to send the grandparents). Shutterfly is easy to use, has lots of layout styles to choose from, and the products arrive on-time. And best of all, the prices are good and the promotions/coupons are even better! In fact, as part of one promotion, I can earn 50 free cards just by telling you about them on this blog. And so can you! (Follow this link: http://bit.ly/sfly2010 )

Also, they have many other gift ideas like calendars http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars/wall-calendars , ornaments and (my personal favorite) PHOTO BOOKS. I have been doing these as gifts for the past several years. You can also share all of your creations on your own Share site for friends and family to see or even order for themselves. It's great!

This is the Time....

I love that song...always have. I guess I see life set to music. An on-going soundtrack, if you will. A perpetual slide show that needs a background track. Spending time with Nathan and Lexie was a lot of fun and made me think about how fast time flies, yet how some things seem like "only yesterday." Anyway...now, I've got to go find my iPod and my Billy Joel collection!
P.S. After listening, I realize that this song is slightly depressing, but I still like it.Posted by Picasa

A Southern Gentleman

Meet Nathan....With roots extending from Wisconsin to California to Indiana and now Mississippi, Nathan is an aspiring graphic designer and soon-to-be-freshman at the University of Southern Miss. I met up with this member of the district champion NWR golf team on the course this week for senior pictures. It was a refreshing treat to spend time with him and his friend Lexie (more pictures to follow). I wish him the best of luck as he starts this new course in his life.

The Last Song (well...not really)

I knew I had taken a break from the blog, but I didn't realize it had been soooo long! This weekend I had the pleasure of attending the senior recital of a very talented young lady, who just happens to be my cousin. Leigh Ann, you did a great job! We are very proud of you!
